A Glance at the accomplishments of Mr. Kaustubh Nandurbarkar
Kaustubh Nandurbarkar is lighting designer,” and interior designer, Having
completed a design graduation in interior design at School of Interior Design, APIED
(Arvind bhai Patel Institute of Environmental Design), Vallabh Vidyanagar, he has
been the design principal with design firms. With immense creativity and experience in
interior and lighting design, he has accomplished varied design assignments for
Institutional, commercial, healthcare, Hospitality, retail and residential projects.
With a thorough research, understanding and design acumen, he started the practice
for designing “lighting solutions “in year 2006, and is design principal of Semblance
design studio one of the very few lighting design firms in the country.
His papers / presentation on lighting design at various forums, has benefited many
institutes and organizations. His work Paper on “Understanding Light” is been
acknowledged, nationally, and has been appreciated as a paper of the international
LED Summit 2013.His paper on the “Lighting in retail”, was selected at the
International, Conference on retail Design—CODE—2016, New Delhi.
Besides being design principal, at Semblance design studio and Vertices
consultants Pvt ltd, he also heads the design research cell at “vertices”. He is also
a member of the Board of studies for promoting lighting design at various institutes
like Bharati Vidyapeeth collage of Architecture – Pune, MIT collage of engineering
– Pune.
He is instrumental in conducting various academic programs for organization like ISLE-
Indian society of lighting Engineers, promoting education in the field of lighting design in
the country.
